He flew on delta,
Soul left in spirit.
Once;
An image of corrected
Imagery.
The photo reel revealed
Their smiles, their faces.
Aligned like files
against columns;
A hallmark moment.
I mean why bother
They’re neatly groomed,
Remains exhumed.
It’s the dead of night,
To the untrained eye.
And a red light swings glumly.
A sullen mood can change the tune
Of an empty room.
But a lack of exposer.
Shutters focus.
Leaving aperture
Closed off and clothes off.
This bare footage exposes
Heartfelt moments.
Forever frozen in time and space.
The lingering effects leaves a mind at rest.
A single tear shed reminiscing
Of the years spent here.
Memories last a lifetime
A single photograph
On an oak night stand
Acts as the perfect reminder
Whilst the days move forward.
