Writer’s Block (A Poem)

Trauma to my pen tip
Watching as this ink leaks
Black blood runs across my pad
Please save it.
It’s the sixth one this week
I can’t write a single thing
My flow is incarcerated
Murders in its middle name.
Writers block is causing me to second guess my spoken words
Choking on these nouns, pronouns predicates, and verbs: and now I’m just left here to think.
I can’t get out of the hole I lay in.
I’ve just witnessed a crime and the death of a pen.
